A program to change the windows login image

Login Image Modifier - is freeware and can be downloaded HERE.
Works on Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP Professional/Home (perhaps we'll add support for other systems later)

Other Users Images

This program originated from the Login Image Changer Guide, found HERE.
It was also inspired by the "Boot Image Setter" by A. Tofahrn and it all began with www.littlewhitedog.com's guide to change the windows bootup image.

Before you run this program you should make a backup of valuble data since this program changes a systemfile in your windows installation, if something goes really wrong you might have to reinstall windows. We haven't got any reports of any errors yet...

msgina.dll-file is copied to two new files in your system32-directory. Have in mind that if you do any major upgrades on your system, a new service pack release and similar windows may complain about the msgina file being changed. Before you do any major changes you can restore your original file by pressing the "restore original"-button.

Image info: These are the original sizes of the images. The original number of colors is 16 or 256. You can probably use many more...
Windows 2000:
327x72 - 16 colors - 6 062 bytes - "locked" - The image showing when your computer is locked.
413x88 - 256 colors - 37 688 bytes - "login" - The image showing at login and startup.
413x5 - 256 colors - 3 160 bytes - "progress" - The roll image

Windows XP
413x72 - 256 colors - 31 032 bytes - "locked" - The image showing when your computer is locked.
413x88 - 256 colors - 37 688 bytes - "login" - The image showing before and when logging in if you're not using the "fast-switch-login-interface".
413x5 - 256 colors - 3 160 bytes - "progress" - The roll image
